Robert is the founder and president of the Malta Association of Osteopaths (MAO). He was the first osteopath to be registered in the country’s national register where the profession is currently regulated by the Council for Professions Complementary to Medicine (CPCM). He worked extensively to maintain high standards of patient care within the country and also currently assists the regulator as a sub-committee member of the profession. Robert has recently been elected as a board member of Osteopathy Europe (OE) www.osteopathyeurope.org – which is the organisation that represents osteopaths and osteopathic institutions in 22 countries across Europe. He has been practising in Malta as an osteopath in private practice since 2012

Extensive and diverse international experience mainly in Italy, Malta, and Australia, amalgamating a traditional Osteopathic approach, manual therapy, and Exercise Rehabilitation to offer a comprehensive solution for a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions. Since 2020 I am in charged as General Secretary of Malta Association of Osteopath; furthermore, since 2021, I have assumed the role of Head of Education at ACS College of Science, concurrently serving as a Lecturer for the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) programs in Physiotherapy and Osteopathy.

Dr Jorge Esteves is a distinguished osteopath and cognitive scientist, with extensive experience in osteopathic education, research, and clinical practice. He currently holds key academic and clinical positions across Europe and is actively involved in advancing the field through research, teaching, and professional development. His work focuses on innovative approaches to osteopathic care, integrating theoretical and practical perspectives to enhance patient outcomes and educational standards.
